Park City, Utah Recommendations

I know I already included my itinerary and budget, but I realized it would probably be beneficial and worth sharing the links of everything I did in case someone decides they’d like to go themselves.

Accomodations

AirbnbGabriella’s Light + Bright Studio on Bus Stop : This was actually a great little spot and fit my criteria of “Under $200 a night” where hotels were asking for $500 a night. As with any Airbnb, read the reviews. “Winding staircase” and “no microwave, only a toaster oven.” should pop out so plan accordingly. It’s a 2 min walk from the free town shuttle so you can avoid the morning $25 resort parking fee.

Hotel – If I had any points at the time or if I decide to go back, I would probably stay at Hyatt Centric Park City. As of May 2023, it is 25,000 points a night (decent for $400 a night) and a Category-7 Hyatt (not decent but at least you can use a certificate). It is a ski in/ski out hotel on the Canyon’s Village side so great option whenever I decide to cross skiing off the bucket list.

Restaurants

Davanza’s– $$. I’m only including this here to tell you to SKIP it. The pizza was subpar, and the decoration of the place was overwhelming to the senses.

Bartolo’s– $$$. Cute Italian restaurant vibe and delicious food and drinks. My only complaint is that it’s one of those “Because we are fancy, we can skimp on the food portion” places. I ordered the “Chef’s special” which was some kind of Alfredo ravioli with pine nuts on them. It was delicious, but I only got 6 raviolis, and even after cutting it into squirrel pieces, I still finished within 5 min and was left feeling unsatisfied.

Blind Dog– $$$$ – Now we did spend $215 here (which included a generous tip) but the service here was phenomenal and the food matched. My only regret is that we didn’t eat this the first night because we had leftovers and no time to actually eat it. My one complaint is I did not 100% realize that bottled water was not free until the check came… however I’m also very wary of tap water so I regret nothing.

Non-Skiing Activities

Ice-Skating Right across from our equipment rental shop, the resort did have a cute little area with ice skating. We did not partake in this activity due to a traumatizing childhood experience for me, but other families looked happy so at least there are options.

Woodward Park City Tubing– While this park did also have some snowboarding trails and indoor “adventure biking”, it was also a great snow tubing spot. For $60 a person, you get 2 hours of endless downhill tubing. While it seems pricey as I’m sure there are some great free spots across America, this was a great option if you were like us who spent a lot of money on snow clothing and had an extra day in snowy Utah. I wanted to redeem my snowboarding face-planting and this day made it all better.
